No way folks, you see, this past year, baseball had one heck of a crazy ride, so leading off, we're going to kick some dirt on the back of the batters box, put a big ole wad of bubble gum in our mouth, spit, and swing for the fences with...

Why choose "Start Wearing Purple"? Well, not to dismiss Red Sox Nation, but the story of the year last year was the Amazing Race by the Colorado Rockies. Winning 21 of 22 games down the stretch, and then moving on to the World Series, the purple and black clad rockies fans have nothing to be ashamed of by losing to the New World Power in the Boston Red Sox. The Rockies didn't even exist until 1993, they don't have the tradition of the Red Sox, and "Dirty Water", or "Sweet Caroline" fame (we'll get to those I'm sure in later posts), but for now with stars such as Tulowitzki, Fancis, Helton, Holliday, and the rest of the Blake Street Bombers, there might be a lot more people who will "Start Wearing Purple."
